Folding Techniques

Folding Techniques

For this technique, I have done three photographs for examples. Two being just folding and the other being weaving.

The first one is folding the photograph up. A bit like if you were putting it in your pocket.

The creases that have been made have taken away the top layer of the photograph along the folds.

For the second one, I tried folding to the shape of the building instead.

The way the folds have been done it is like it has put the photograph into zones. Maybe I should have left it folded taking away the background.

The final one is weaving. I took to photographs of the same building which were slightly different. They were then weaved together. Creating one photograph.

I really like how this works. It makes you look at the squares more carefully. It also takes away the shape of the building. Though the building is still recognisable.
